This website has been created to provide information and shed light on decisions made by the current Board of Education of Sycamore Community Schools. Approximately 70% of the community members in the Sycamore District do not have a child in Sycamore Schools (private school families, empty nesters, etc.). Yet, home values and property taxes are impacted by the Board’s decisions. Information on this website was obtained by public records requests to the Sycamore Community Schools District. Access to these public documents allows the community to decide if the Sycamore School District is being led with transparency, integrity , fiscal discipline, and ethics.
On November 4, the Sycamore Board of Education will have 3 of 5 seats open for election. It is imperative that the individuals elected to the Board:
be held to high ethical standards to protect the welfare of students
have strong fiscal understanding to set and oversee the district’s $130 million operating budget and $450 million in assets
be nonpartisan and not beholden to campaign donors
be able to strategize and plan for a November 2026 school levy
